About Soil Screeners (Vibrating deck screens)

Vibrating deck screeners are probably the most popular option when it comes to screening and sieving topsoil. The favoured type of vibrating deck is the double deck screen, relatively straightforward and providing excellent productivity. Materials are fed directly onto the deck using an excavator or loader bucket.

Deck screeners are relatively low maintenance, and very easy to operate. As the operator is feeding soil and hardcore onto the deck, the deck riddles and sieves the material out though a mesh, heavy lumps of debris are handled with ease and without causing any damage to the deck itself. High output can be achieved, but this depends on mesh opening size and type.

For topsoil materials anything from 12mm to 22mm square mesh size is recommended. For course screening of 30mm and over we can supply heavy duty mesh for the top deck.
